The fine print, in plain English
InboxProof is a general-information guide about email authentication — the SPF, DKIM and DMARC standards and how common email platforms implement them. It is not professional IT administration, security consulting, or deliverability services, and it doesn't replace your email provider's own documentation or a qualified administrator.
Every domain's setup is different. The record values, navigation paths and procedures on this site were verified against the platforms' published documentation and live DNS records in October 2026 — but providers change their interfaces, record values and requirements over time, and your specific configuration (regional data centers, legacy account settings, custom infrastructure) can change what's correct for you. Where a platform shows you its own record values inside your account, those values always win over anything printed here.
DNS changes affect live email. Publishing an incorrect record, deleting an existing one, or moving a DMARC policy to enforcement before every legitimate sender is authenticated can delay, filter or block real business email. Make changes one at a time, keep a copy of your previous records before you edit them, and allow 24–48 hours for propagation before judging a change. If your organization depends on email for critical operations, consider having an IT professional review changes before you publish them.
Authentication is one factor in email delivery. This site does not promise any particular delivery rate, inbox placement or business outcome, and no configuration can compel a receiving provider to deliver a message. Sender reputation, message content, recipient engagement and list quality also affect delivery and are outside the scope of the records described here.
By using this site, you accept that you modify your own domain and email configuration at your own risk, and that you will verify anything uncertain with your provider or a qualified professional. If something here conflicts with what your provider's current documentation says, trust the provider.
